This Privacy Policy explains how BlogTextify collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal data when you use the service.

1. Data We Collect

Account data

Email address and a hashed password when you create an account. Third-party authentication may share basic profile data.

Blog connection data

WordPress site URL, username, and Application Password — stored in encrypted form, used solely to publish content via the WordPress REST API.

Content data

Topics, keywords, and settings you enter to power Auto-Discover and improve content relevance.

Usage data

Standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and actions taken in-app. Used for security monitoring and aggregate analytics. Not sold or shared with advertisers.

Payment data

Billing is handled by Stripe. We store transaction identifiers, plan information, and billing email addresses — not card numbers or full payment details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve BlogTextify
• To authenticate your account and secure access
• To publish articles to your connected WordPress blog
• To generate AI content via Google Gemini (prompts are sent to Google's API)
• To send transactional emails (billing receipts, important service notices)
• To detect and prevent fraud and security threats
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not share your content or blog credentials with any third party except as described below.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted service providers under strict data processing agreements:

• Google (Gemini API) — receives prompts and topics to generate article content
• OpenAI / Getimg.ai / Google — receive image prompts for AI image generation (Pro plan)
• Pexels — receives search queries for royalty-free image sourcing
• Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — store and serve BlogTextify

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose data to law enforcement only when required by law.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days except where retention is required by law. Generated article content is retained for 12 months for duplicate detection purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability. Submit requests via your dashboard settings. We respond within 30 days. See our GDPR page for EEA-specific rights.

6. Security

We use AES-256 encryption for WordPress credentials, encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No security system is perfect — use a strong, unique password for your BlogTextify account.

8. Changes

Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
